The Lillian Hux Research Grant, named in memory of Lillian Hux, has successfully provided over $130,000 to support emerging investigations into CFC syndrome. The grant has facilitated important research, ranging from understanding the natural history and seizure dynamics associated with CFC syndrome to exploring cardiac manifestations. This initiative was born from the deep love and dedication of Kevin and Glenda Hux, who tragically lost their daughter Lillian in 2018 due to seizure-related complications linked to the syndrome. In their grief, they organized a highly successful local fundraiser to generate the first two years of funding necessary for this grant, which has since seen remarkable growth and impact. This year’s grant is funded by the hard work of our families who hosted fundraisers to support this critical mission.
